Do the Women cricket teams get enough recognition?

I went to a t20 womens game last year and it was fantastic! It has been more entertaining than a lot of mens cricket.

And I realised, that, I don't ever hear of Women cricket. I think it deserves more recognition. Do you?

The Women's cricket teams never get the recognition that they deserves. I mean, the women's cricket world cup is coming up shortly in 2009, i wonder how many know about it.

If u ask me, i believe that it deserves a lot more, and its up to the cricket boards and ICC to globalise Women's cricket, so that many young girls across the world can take up the sport of cricket..

No, and it's a damn shame. I mean, you must be really dedicated to a sport if it get's less recognition than it deserves.

unfortunately no. da facilities available are far less dan u cn imagin than in da mens game. da structure of womens criket(proper coaches, clubs,inter club matches,tournaments,accessibilty to training materials etc etc) in most of da countries are not developd da way shud be. specially in da asian countries.eng n eng n aus are progressing well bt need more back up. thr r far less mtches plyad agains da top teams.da women cricketrs have no backing up 4rm da ppl involved at da top n far less support 4rm da media n all ppl involed n also no proper planning. itz pathetic. thrz no genuin intrest by da sponsers either..all ds reasons collectivly hv caused it to be less recognised n less devloped. thr r soo many ladies who love to play but av no way of getting involved due to da lack of facilities n even if thy do its hard to continue cz thrz no backing up. thy earn almost nuthin. so most give up cz of wrk or studies. this is da true situ. if itz developed da right way itl be gud enuf 4 da sponsers n will market it self. itl be lovely to watch da womens game in a more competittive,developed structure.
