Who would be a better opening bowler?

I dunno - two mental images come to mind.



1) I am an opening batsman shaping up to Thatcher. She walks back and slowly shuffles towards the stumps. In a flash my stumps fall over and I am out. Even though I know there is treachery afoot, next thing I know she is right beside me politely but FIRMLY escorting me from the field.



2) Again I am opening batsman. There is a hazy cloud at the far end of the pitch. Out of the cloud comes a dark tangled afro. A cricket ball somehow appears. On the way down the pitch it turns about 5 different colours, including purple, red and blue. It all looks good at first, but somehow the ball drops short and rolls to a stop 12 inches in front of my stumps.



Better value for their team? Probably Thatcher. Although the team with Hendrix would have a blast - for a while.

PS: I pluck around a bit on the guitar and I have to say, Jimmy's music is beyond my ability, he had real talent, and something to say to the world... Miss you Jim...
