I think it will eventually end up being a battle of endurance. Both teams have proven their mattle. It will be a treat to watch & the outcome will be determined perhaps by the mental toughness.I don,t have a clue who will win,all I know is that I can,t wait for the 2nd test to begin.

They way English players are getting injured and leaving for home, I hope they are able to ensemble 11 fit players by the morning of the first test. Therefore, Indians are the favourites to win the series. Even with a full-strength squad, England would have tough time against Indian spinners. With Giles' absence they don't have any quality spinner to pose any threat to Indian batsmen. Don't forget, Giles had a very successful series in India last time (2001). I hope Ian Blackwell does well and we see a competitive series. But all said and done, Indians are the clear favourites.

I'm not an Indian. Instead a Pakistani. I think if the same team plays which played in Pakistan, i think India can win easily. Two things to remember. Pakistan has beaten England amd England has beaten Australia. So it could be nice match. But still anything could happen.

Definately India. First of all they have already won the first test against England and secondly the star players of Englang are missing.

i think cerebral_assassin70 is true.
England is definetly very good team in last few years, but in this tour, so many players are injured.
Ashley jiles is also not there.
So, here is 80 - 20 chance to win INDIA.
