Generally man of the match awards for a single match are kept by the player. When a man of the series wins a car it has been shared by the team, with a couple notable exceptions, Richard Hadlee refused to share one of his well earnt cars. Probably because he was carrying the team!

The different teams have different agendas, and the most accepted one it is shared amongst players with the official Man of the Match getting a higher percentage.
