Question:
What motivates the sporadic pea-shooters in the cricket section?

The Australian tour to India is long over. About a year back this place was a mess with a full-scale pitched warfare going on between Australia and India.

However, even today I notice the sporadic pea-shooters continue to take self-righteous pot-shots at each other almost interminably.

Some-how I find the earlier gregarious grunt of the herd of respondents here after the Sydney test match, not more offensive than the isolated effort of the sporadic hogs. Do you?

Do you think this place is overflowing with new-users and does this spell the end of camaraderie that some of the old users had?

Isn't there to much chaff here with a minuscule amount of wheat?

Rehman of Multan

P.S: I recall this section as a vibrant place some-time back, but, maybe the ebbing contribution of that cohort of users is dying a natural death ?

What motivates them Rehman, in my opinion is two things.

Firstly is an inferiority complex, yes that's right, the good old chip on the shoulder. Users from all nations are guilty, whether they are feeling slighted by Australia's past dominance or they feel threatened by the new big guns in cricket, SA and India. They find the superiority of any nation other than their own unbearable.

Secondly is a joy of antagonism, you know the ones, the shock jocks, the keyboard warriors. These people love to offend. I honestly believe that the subject does not matter, Cricket is merely a platform for their rants. A place where they can air their dirty laundry, racist tendencies and miss-informed opinions.

What I find most offensive is the premeditated slagging of other nations and users. I understand heated posts directly after a match or event, but these questions and responses are obviously pre thought out and executed. Truly nothing to do with the real issue at hand-Cricket.

I think that there is only a small number of these 'bad' users, as already stated they have multiple accounts, they are definitely the vocal minority.

I have been shy of entering this section for sometimes days at a time rather than bother reading through the 'chaff'. However, lets not let this keep us away, instead continue to report, refrain from answering rants and keep posting interesting questions

Richie

I don't know what makes them do all those things as there are no logical explanations. Maybe these are their innate & inherent disposition. Or they have too much time with nothing to do.

What can we do? We have already lost a few of our good users to these useless philippics. I have said before we should quarantine them. Even if one user supports them, they'll draw inspiration from that. Instead report them and try to discourage them. An Aussie opposing an Aussie will do more good than an Indian countering them. Likewise an Indian should stand up against an Indian who is consciously trying to stir up trouble.

I think all of these rants are posted by one or two users from either side whom we know as someone else in broad daylight.

Perhaps the seemingly endless supply of questions about the cricket section "dying", and bemoaning all the "strife" in it doesn't help either. That only serves to fuel the idiots who decide to pollute the place with their inane questions and answers. And I stronly suspect that it is being done in the main by a handful of users with multiple accounts, joined from time to time by the more immature, who are attracted by all the nonsense.

As far as I am concerned, you will see this sort of thing anywhere on the internet, and it is nothing to get overly concerned about.

Perhaps we wouldn't notice it so much if people actually asked some cricket related questions.

But if no one is going to bother doing that, then all you will see is the childish nonsense that has always pervaded the section. It has never gone away, and has generally always been at the same level as it is now. The problem is, so few people are posting cricket questions, that the rubbish is being noticed more.

The "pea shooters' motivation is simply the fact that they get up other users noses, don't feed the beast, ignore it and they will eventually retreat back under there rock, we all have the option of not answering Q's we should be exerting that option a little more.

the fact of the matter is that australia crossed the line last year andrew symons admiting in the press that he sniked the ball and went on to make 163 is one of the most unsportsman like things to ever happen and crying to mumy about being called a monkey well haha was it not 2 days ago that ponting said vettori should have confronted him and not go cry in the press. those indians are passionate about there cricket so realy would you honestly expect any less. lol the kiwis are still talkin about an under-ar of over 10 years ago

let me answer this honestly , you need to review the section first 3 pages to do any kind of evaluation. it is normal when ship starts sinking rats come out of all corners , cavities, pipes and holes & start jumping all over the place. actually myself and Oz are quite contended to see them toppled by india and laid of Y!A offering peace in good gesture but they are intolerent towards the facts , so most of the pea shooting is done by them. i normally don't use peas to shoot, i fire huge water melon nuclear bombs lol~

they are the instigators doing racism and communal violence, it is not far away when they will again come under our hammer due to their own jealous character~

i wish they could get rid of the irritation they have due to this truth but it seems unlikely. it seems they are heck bent upon to see the posts about their dirty culture, sick society , racist history, ab original exploitation and abuse and other social group discussion topics, regarding ausland. it is their life they have to choose the way they want it and they have chosen their destruction here ~

India - 1

SA -2

Australia - 3, will go further down

hope that helps~

god bless
