With bleak chances for his record equalling century, due to India's massive lead and now Bangladesh's good reply, at the end of day 3, Gambhir must be envisaging, fulfilling a near lost opportunity and praying, since team India is unlikely to lose, with 1st innings lead of 311 that Bangladesh goes onto take a 200+ lead, thus enabling him to score century, chance, which looked to have passed him yesterday, what's your say ??

Hey TJ Good to see your Question's !

Well coming to The Consistent top order batsmen who Can Adapt any situations and can change gears at any time..It's non other than Gambhir the Uprising Star for India. He has Played Brilliantly in every innings and equals Richards' record, He now has a score of fifty or above in 11 consecutive Tests and is on par with the great Sir Viv Richards of the West Indies. The Delhi player will now have the chance to break that record in the 2nd innings Hopefully he should and make his teammates, Fans proud..

If Bangladesh takes 200+ lead, then sans Dravid and Yuvaraj, It will be interesting to see how Indian batting linup responds to chalange of chasing in 4th innings. So the opertunity galores for Gambhir to achieve what he had missed in the first innings.

I think Bangladesh will not give target of more than 200 runs. So Gambhir may have a chance. Good luck to him.

They weren't at the peak when they played in IPL. They were kept too busy as they were playing both in International cricket and IPL, and hardly got any break in between. But they may come back strong after this small break. Indian middle order including Raina, Rohit, Yuvraj and Pathan, is looking good. Dhoni has to play better than what he did in IPL. As far as bowling is concerned, Zaheer's fitness is a worrying factor.

I agree. Most of these players state that they dont care about stats but they so do! Which is why you see players slowing down significantly when they are closing in on a hundred. If I were a player, I would want to see centuries and records against my name too, not gonna lie! I hope he gets it...he has been in sublime form!
