Question:
Is this the most disgraceful and awful and the worst defeat SL tasted in the hands of Australia?

SL 156 & 103 Aus 460

⌨ Ironically The Australian tailender Johnson scored 92 not out by himself and did better than all the SL batsmen collectively did in the 2nd innings!

⌨ That shows how much different the two teams are. How far the SL team stands from the Aussie team. SL were fallen, battered and collapsed like a bunch of minnows. It was downright pathetic.

⌨ The Australian pace bowling reminded the fire works by the deadly dangerous WI fast bowlers in 70's. SL batsmen had no clue whatsoever.

⌨ Only Sanga looked ok. All the other veterans like Samaraweera, Mahela and Dilshan proved than they are massive failures in pace friendly conditions.

⌨ It's painfully obvious that there will be No Way Out for SL in this series.

⌨ Australia has proved that They are well ahead of SL for the 984th time!

So is this the most embarrassing lost SL suffered at Australia's hands? I know there were some more huge losses SL has had against Australia. But this should be the worst of them all? Agree?

QⓆ2:- How do you rate this test match? Is it more of a really terrible performance by SL or is it more of a brilliant performances by Australia?
IMO 65% Australia played superbly and 45% Sl played awfully...

Not a great effort Dinith. They looked like they were playing a social game of no real significance. They need to stop this nice guy rubbish and find a bit of mongrel. Its fine being nice and well mannered but save that for after match drinks. When the game is on their game face needs to be a little more intense. Wheres the fire in their bellies?

Having not watched today but saw a fair bit of the other days, I would say it is most likely Sri Lanka just played very poorly, not to mention Johnson batted well and bowled well and unfortunately caused some injuries to important players. That blow to Sangakkara is very telling. He was the backup keeper wasn't he? Who else does Sri Lanka have who can keep wickets next test seeing the two keepers are injured with broken hand bones?

It is the worst test match loss Sri Lanka has had against Australia. I think as far as many matches go they would have had some worse ODI losses.

It is a bit disappointing that they have lost so badly, but better Sri Lanka than Australia in my eyes anyway.

Tough luck there & Australia did play really well, so congratulations to them.

Sad to see so many players injured & couple of them are definitely out from the 3rd Test, which might be blessing in disguise. You won't see youngsters coming in place of established stars in the middle of an important series but changes have been forced upon team S.L.

Chandimal might prove his worth & let's see who else gets in. Mahela is struggling but now he has no choice but to play up the order, so he might come good.

Don't worry, Aus is proving a very tough place for the Asian teams, maybe we will have to send in a joint Asian team in future but jokes apart, the bouncier pitches are tough to handle. Even this new Pakistani bowler M.Irfan showed, how extra bounce can undo most batsmen.

Looks like your prediction of a whitewash is coming true, with 0-2 & many important players absent or out of form, its looking bleak. Wish your team all the best for the 3rd Test..

It is indeed their worst defeat against Australia, beating the previous which was back in 1988 by an inns and 108 runs at Perth.

that was complete one sided contest, the SL had already conceded that they were not mentally ready for the tour.
