Honestly how good is this young kid going to be in another 2 -3 years time?

Do you think we can call Mitchell our new All rounder after his solid performances with the bat?

Great new for Mitchell Johnson. He is definalty going to be our number 1 pace bowler and he deserves it.I think give him another 12 months with the bay and yes you will see Mitchell Johnson batting in around number 5-6 position.Yes i think he is already a good all rounder, just needs a bit more batting experience.

Personally i feel Michael Clarke had a better year than Mitchell Johnson, but well done to Mitchell for winning the award.

He always had potential to be a great bowler (as all good lefties do) but last year he was bowling too wide, and he wasn't swinging the ball much.

This year he has improved to be become one of the best bowlers in the world.

He is currently playing a great role for Australia at the moment. (kind of like the old Brett Lee role) he comes on and usually takes a wicket. He will go on and be the leader of Australia's attack for a long time.

He does have potential with the bat, his FC average is nearly 25 which is impressive and he will always be improving. I'm sure in years to come he will become a capable enough batsmen.

i do no longer think of being over-ambitious is a foul ingredient. it is solid to be certain a cricketer have the ambition to advance aspects of his sport wherein he would not unavoidably ought to advance. i'm hoping Stuart wide could have an identical volume of self belief preferable into the South African series. besides the fact that i think of Australia at the instant have (and could continually have) too lots high quality to desire Johnson's centers on the best of the order, the techniques of Johnson coming in early as a pinch hitter isn't a foul ingredient. I undergo in techniques interior the previous different Australian components doing it with Shane Warne coming in till now so Australia can shop the momentum going. Johnson's technique is truthful adequate, and he can hit the two components of the wicket, he's a sturdy boy who's able to scoring rapid runs against solid opposition. consistent with risk he won't in any respect open, yet he must be used if Australia are 20-2 off 5 overs chasing 350 (In an ODI) or two hundred (In a T20)

That's great Ange, congrats Mitch! I hadn't heard any of the commentators mention this, but I was away from the TV several times. I think he will be very good before long, & yes he should be considered as an all rounder if his batting continues to improve.

A deserving winner but I do agree with King Kookee that Clarke was the more deserving.
